About Us

Standing with farmworkers

Agricultural Workers Advocacy Coalition exists to support migrant agricultural workers with advocacy, practical resources, and community connection. We work to raise awareness, protect dignity, and help workers and families find trusted support.

Our Story

Why this work matters

Our coalition was built around a simple belief: the people who help feed our communities deserve safety, fairness, and respect. Too many migrant agricultural workers face low wages, unsafe conditions, discrimination, language barriers, and isolation while doing essential work.

We bring together advocates, educators, community partners, and supporters to respond with practical help and long-term advocacy. By listening first and acting with care, we help workers access resources, understand their rights, and connect with people who will stand beside them.

Our Approach

Support rooted in trust

We combine direct support with public education so workers can find help now while communities better understand the realities farmworkers face. Our programs are designed to be welcoming, practical, and responsive to real needs on the ground.

From outreach and educational resources to advocacy and community support, our team focuses on building trust through consistency, compassion, and cultural awareness. We believe meaningful change starts with relationships and grows through collective action.

Values

What guides our work

We lead with dignity, compassion, and accountability in every conversation and every program.

Our work is shaped by the voices of workers and families, not assumptions about what they need. We aim to create spaces where people feel seen, informed, and supported while also helping the broader public understand the systems that affect farmworker well-being.

We believe awareness should lead to action, and action should always center the people most affected.

Our commitment

That means showing up consistently, sharing clear information, partnering across communities, and advocating for safer conditions and stronger protections. Whether someone is seeking help, looking to volunteer, or ready to give, we want every interaction with our organization to feel human, respectful, and hopeful.
